Second Life is a world of beautiful, youthful people who rarely show gray hairs or wrinkles. We bask in the glory of a fantasy-land where time has stopped and we'll never need aging creams or hair dye to maintain the appearance of that perfect age, be it 20, 25 or 30. But why do we hold so tightly to that vision of youth? Perhaps because society is no longer willing to see the beauty contained in that which has been around for awhile--that which has seen the trials of time and can tell stories from which we can learn.

Second Life art has come a long way since the days of cartoon avatars with painted on shirts and pants.
