In the August 2009 in-world issue of The Best of SL Magazine, one of the photos in the article about Lone Star Ranch shows a girl riding a horse. As I was taking pictures at Lone Star Ranch, I snapped that picture and included it in the in-word magazine.
Sadly, the horse in that photo was not made by Zephyr Pennell, owner and creator of Lone Star Ranch. To Zephyr, I wish to apologize for that glaring mistake on my part.
Though the in-world issue has already been published, the website version of The Best of SL Magazine will be corrected and will be linked here as soon as it's ready. Below, I've also included several additional photos of the excellent horses that you will find at Lone Star Ranch.
In SL the equine community is huge, very thight-knit and each ranch inspires loyal followers with varying levels of serious horsemanship. I can see how such a simple thing as a ill-placed photo can reverberate through the SL equine community bringing much doubt and concern.
To visit Lone Star Ranch and see the horses in all their glory in SL, click HERE. BTW, set the Environment Editor in your SL Viewer to 'Fine Day' and your experience will be enhanced.
Real Life architects, builders, and artists frequently use Second Life as a platform for experimentation and entertainment. Freed of the real life restrictions of time, money and physics, designers can create virtual works of art that are soaring, amazing, educational, thought-provoking.
One such creation is StormEye. And you really should experience it before it’s gone.
Part of the March BOSL Magazine’s article on MaxMoney (which you can read in its entirety inworld or right here on thebosl.com) included beautiful photographs of MaxMoney Sim by DeMerick Creeley.
MaxMoney Sim was originally conceived to serve as the hub for all inworld applications of MaxMoney. Just a few steps from the main landing point, you can buy Lindens from the MaxMoney ATM terminals or sign up and get set up to become a MaxMoney Affiliate or Partner.
