Re: MISS BLISS COUTURE 2010 EVENT

——————————————————————————————
Join us January 9th at 11am for the crowning of Miss Bliss Couture 2010. It is only fitting that the Miss Bliss Couture event be this huge considering the largely successful year that the Bliss Couture clothing line has had in 2009. The highly anticipated event has finally arrived and will be held at the beautifully designed PATCH THIBAUD AUDITORIUM, the exact location of Miss Virtual World and other fabulous in-world events.

After months of narrowing down the large sum of contestants, we are down to 20 finalists who eagerly await the news to find out which one of them will have the honor of being named Miss Bliss Couture 2010! The final 20 will be judged on casual and formal wear and we are sure it will not be easy choosing one winner. As the ladies grace the catwalk the music will be brought to you by the one and only DJ AZU (Azufr3 Catteneo).

It has truly been a long journey for the gorgeous ladies that began July 2009. Each woman who felt she had what it took to represent Bliss Couture sent in her entry with hopes that she would become the “face” of this top clothing brand. Along with being the “face” of Bliss Couture (which involves appearing in most vendor ads for new clothing, exclusively modeling print and magazine ads) the winner will also be interviewed in the top SL fashion magazine BOSL, receive an invitation to the prestigious Boulevard Agency, will receive a specially designed diamond jewelry set from Alyssa Bijoux, be given all future Bliss Couture releases throughout her one year reign, and be awarded $10,000L Cash Prize. With prizes of this magnitude it is easy to see why so many chose to be part of this fabulous contest.

Amutey Decuir, owner of Bliss Couture, has had quite a time going from 350 contestants to the final 20. The judges who will be helping her judge this final round are: Frolic Mills (CEO of BOSL & CO), Breezie Noel (Managing Editor of BOSL Magazine), edo Tone (Owner of Styles of edo), Mui Mukerji (SL Supermodel and Style Consultant). The event will be hosted by two lovely ladies Ansleigh Beverly (Manager of Wilder Public Relations), and Caymon Zhora (Manager of Bliss Couture). All the women who entered are winners to us and we wish each of you left in the running good luck! The 20 beautiful finalists are as followed:

KWZ Brings Fashion Week Attendees to Victorian and Gothic Worlds

BOSL FW2009 KWZ Teaser

The provocative designs of Kariwanz Felisimo of KWZ highlighted day five of this extraordinary BOSL Fashion Week 2009. These are the shows any Second Life fashionista or fashionisto will be talking about for months to come.

Held at the Patch Thibaud Auditorium, the KWZ show transported the audience into the world of Victorian, gothic, and modern haute couture…I’m not kidding…this was an incredibly innovative and creative show featuring designs for men, women, and even some childrens items, with a vast amount of attention to detail. The Cake dresses put us in mind of Marie Antoinette’s famous quote “let them eat cake”, but no calories of course.

Some of the men’s outfits were so incredibly romantic, they made me feel like swooning.

The set featured a long tunnel-like runway with an exquisite red carpet for models to glide upon. All along the sides of the tunnel were yellow taxis, no doubt waiting to whisk away all the elite guests at the conclusion of the affair.

Boulevard Agency models happily participating in this exciting show were; Mr. and Miss Virtual World; Liam Netizen and Mimmi Boa, Kay Fairey, Nemi McCoy, Fann Hyun, Gemini Hennesey, Bunny Tomorrow, Jarl Soderstrom, Alexia Speizer, and Wenedrenia Soderstrom.

One of the special highlights of this show was the appearance of Alexia Speizer and Wenadrenia Soderstrom showing the children’s designs. The outfits were adorable, as were the “children”, who delighted the audience with their antics.

Milky House – Japanese Couture at its best!

Aug 11th – 3 pm SLT: Milky House – Japanese Couture at its best!

Mixtures of blue and white glass pagodas line the runway at Boulevard Agency, complimented by hanging light fixtures and beautifully engraved walls of japanese flowers. Singing birds surround the venue combining classic Japanese style with modern fashion. This is Milky House: Japanese couture at its best and showcasing their most gorgeous and elegant kimonos to ever grace the grid.

Guests were already arriving more than an hour prior to the start of the show. In attendance were top fashion designers, Boulevard Agency Models and Modavia Agency Models. Behind the scenes, the models as well as director Kay Fairey, Boulevard CEO, were making last minute preparations, walking the runway a few times to ensure a show the audience would never forget.

Giela Delpaso, the incredible and gorgeous host read meticiously from the well-planned out script prepared by none other then, our own BOSL Magazine Managing Editor, Breezie Noel. The Boulevard Agency Models showcase four outfits apiece. It is no suprise why Miss Virtual World Mimmi Boa as well as Gamp Lane, Nemi McCoy, Bunny Tomorrow, Mui Mukerji and Kay Fairey were chosen: their elegance, poise and sophsication  only compliment the brightly colored and beautifully textured kimonos designed by Sequanna Kidd of Milky House.
Designer Sequanna Kidd has taken the Second Life’s fashion world by storm, combining the concept of haute couture with her traditional and modern Japanese clothing for men and women. As each model graced the runway, each Kimono more gorgeous then the last. As the show continued is no wonder why people believe, that Kimono is the Japanese word for clothing but in Second Life, Milky House Kimono means Style!
As the show neared its closing, the Kimonos were simply breathtaking, fit for a young princess. The brightness of the colors and the richness of the textures shined beautifully as the models gracefully made their way down the runway.  Sequanna combined Japanese traditions into the kimonos such as the one worn by Boulevard Agency Model, Mui Mukerji. ‘Hana-Temari’ in Gold, the sleeves of this lovely kimono are Hiki-Furisode, the long sleeves traditionally worn by young, unmarried women and the brightly colored, dress-style kimono that Boulevard Agency Model, Nemi McCoy signifying the hope for an early spring.

Words can never express how beautiful and amazing the richness of the colors or the feel of the soft, flowing textures against your skin. These intricate, breathtaking kimonos speak for themselves and as the Milky House designer, Sequanna Kidd has certainly set the standard with her very first production, showcased at Boulevard Agency on a stunning venue, designed by Patch Adams and BOSL CEO, Frolic Mills.

Italian Couture Takes Center Stage

Written by Lola Baudin

In a continuation of BOSL Fashion Week 2009, the ethereal designs of the Italian Couture were showcased at the Patch Thibaud Open Air Cathedral, with designs by Ginevra Lancaster (Ginevra Lancaster Fashion Designs) and Katiuscia Vollmar (Red Passion). The venue was a perfect setting of the bygone era of high Italian renaissance with the vaulted ceiling, ornate candelabras and unique outdoor setting to match the unparallelled haute couture design of the BOSL Renaissance Galleria sim.

When I arrived forty-five minutes before the show, the Renaissance Galleria was already buzzing with activities with Boulevard Agency Director Kay Fairey, the producer of this show and the BOSL CEO Frolic Mills setting up the last details as guests started to arrive. In attendance was the who’s who of the Second Life’s fashion industry including Modavia supermodels, Stiletto Moody director, and top fashion photographers. The guests in attendance had a subdued quality due to the intimate setting and the majestic quality of the venue itself. It was a quiet affair but nothing short of stunning that leaves one breathless for the artistry of the build and also the clothes the designers created for this special event.

bosl_039

In keeping with the sheer quality of this incredible collection of Lancaster and Vollmar; the Boulevard Agency models themselves were spectacular in showcasing each design to their full capabilities. It is with no wonder why each of these models were chosen. Mimmi Boa, Isabel Brocco, Florentine Rau, Payton Heron, Anessa Stine, and LaBella Forcella each had their own unique styling with carefully chosen poses that made each outfit shine. Their elegance, expertise, and attention to detail was a tribute to the Italian couture show.

bosl_015

Words can not do justice to the immaculate collection that Lancaster and Vollmar produced for the BOSL Fashion Week. It was an homage to another era, perhaps one we idealize in our dreams. The breathtaking gowns and dresses were the epitome of haute couture. It would be an honor and privilege for any woman to wear such creations. It was truly breathtaking, and I was simply amazed at the artistry as well as the quality of the Italian Couture show.

The hostess of the event, Giela Delpaso was perfectly picked as the announcer. She was the perfect representation of style and grace which was only highlighted by our very own BOSL Magazine Managing Editor Breezie Noel’s script which Delpaso used during this stellar show.

Everything was simply ‘la bella vita’!

Violator and Mankind Tracer Kick off BOSL Fashion Week 2009

BOSL Fashion Week 2009 officially launched today, August 8, with a smashing fashion show featuring the designs of Soraya Vaher for Violator, and culminated with a huge opening ceremony party with a live performance by none other than Mankind Tracer.

Violator Fashion 1

Attendees began flocking well over an hour early to the amazing Tunnel of Light venue, created by Frolic Mills and Patch Thibaud within the renowned Patch Thibaud Auditorium. Best of SL Magazine Vice President and Boulevard Agency CEO Giela Delpaso was already on hand to provide the music and greet arriving guests. Multi-colored fantasy robots extended their arms to provide seating along the tunnel wall, creating one of the most colorful and imaginative fashion show settings ever seen in Second Life.

Violator Fashion 19

SLebrities, notables, and fashion enthusiasts crowded in, greeting each other with kisses and good-natured teasing. It was a celebratory mood. BOSL CEO Frolic Mills announced just before the show started: 94 PEOPLE ON THE 2 SIMS !! WELCOME TO BOSL FASHION WEEK … THE SHOW WILL BEGIN IN JUST A FEW MINUTES :)

And what a show.

Violator Fashion 28

Accompanied by music selected by Violator CEO Minx Glaz, the fabulous models of Boulevard Agency took the stage.

Miss Virtual World 2009 Mimmi Boa, Boulevard Agency Director Kay Fairey, and Boulevard beauty Mavi Beck each modeled Violator gowns for the “Cyber Elegance” segment while “Grinder Reminder (rmx)” by Tetrameth underscored the excitement.

Fabulous Boulevard models Kurvy Rhode, Payton Heron, Barbarella Fuosing, and Jarl Soderstrom also provided their talents to showcase Violator creations from the avant garde (Tentacle Haute Couture) to magnificent ballroom gowns and amazing new releases that had the crowd cheering over and over again, while music as eclectic as “Trommelmaschine” by Der dritte Raum, Moby (“Whispering Wind”) and selections from the movie soundtracks of King Kong and Pirates of the Caribbean set the mood.

At the end of the show, as the crowd cheered, whistled, and applauded, Violator CEO and designer Soraya Vaher put out a gift for all attendees to shouts of “Brava! Bravissimo!” from the delighted viewers.

And then the opening ceremony party started!

Violator Fashion 29

Mankind Tracer set up right in the middle of the tunnel – no distant stage here! – and sang crowd pleasers and favorites such as “Inside Your Dreams,” “Horse With No Name,” “I’m Yours,” and “Roxanne” while everyone danced and had a fantastic time.

It was the first day and a more than fitting start to BOSL Fashion Week 2009!
