Literally, as this is posted, the event has just finished! And what an event it was!! But what else would we expect from BOSL and Bliss Couture? Amazing designs, mixed with b-e-a-utiful models, and an incredible venue (Patch Thibaud Auditorium)…it’s just chemistry destined for a stunning show!

Bliss Couture Anniversary Show

As always, a show at the Patch Thibaud Auditorium wouldn’t be the same without a stunning stage set. And this was no exception! And really added to the whole..feel of the event. The models strutting their stuff down the runway were:

Bliss Couture Anniversary Show

Amutey DeCuir (Bliss Couture CEO) and team, never fail to impress, and simple WOW the audience and fellow designers across the grid! This was simply one amazing show, with great talent on hand to showcase unique, colourful and stylish creations from one of the resident’s favourite stores…Bliss Couture!

And after this anniversary, may we all look forward to another year and sweet content!

In addition to the beautiful finalists, the Miss Bliss Couture 2010 event showcased the release of 5 stunning new formal gowns from Amutey Decuir for Bliss Couture. Varied in style, rich in textures, colors, and detail, these gowns are breathtakingly good.

I had the privilege of styling each gown in two different colors, and I traveled to 8 visually delightful sims to photograph the results. I hope you will be as enchanted with the new Bliss Couture designs as I am!

Join us January 9th at 11am for the crowning of Miss Bliss Couture 2010. It is only fitting that the Miss Bliss Couture event be this huge considering the largely successful year that the Bliss Couture clothing line has had in 2009. The highly anticipated event has finally arrived and will be held at the beautifully designed PATCH THIBAUD AUDITORIUM, the exact location of Miss Virtual World and other fabulous in-world events.

After months of narrowing down the large sum of contestants, we are down to 20 finalists who eagerly await the news to find out which one of them will have the honor of being named Miss Bliss Couture 2010! The final 20 will be judged on casual and formal wear and we are sure it will not be easy choosing one winner. As the ladies grace the catwalk the music will be brought to you by the one and only DJ AZU (Azufr3 Catteneo).

It has truly been a long journey for the gorgeous ladies that began July 2009. Each woman who felt she had what it took to represent Bliss Couture sent in her entry with hopes that she would become the “face” of this top clothing brand. Along with being the “face” of Bliss Couture (which involves appearing in most vendor ads for new clothing, exclusively modeling print and magazine ads) the winner will also be interviewed in the top SL fashion magazine BOSL, receive an invitation to the prestigious Boulevard Agency, will receive a specially designed diamond jewelry set from Alyssa Bijoux, be given all future Bliss Couture releases throughout her one year reign, and be awarded $10,000L Cash Prize. With prizes of this magnitude it is easy to see why so many chose to be part of this fabulous contest.

Amutey Decuir, owner of Bliss Couture, has had quite a time going from 350 contestants to the final 20. The judges who will be helping her judge this final round are: Frolic Mills (CEO of BOSL & CO), Breezie Noel (Managing Editor of BOSL Magazine), edo Tone (Owner of Styles of edo), Mui Mukerji (SL Supermodel and Style Consultant). The event will be hosted by two lovely ladies Ansleigh Beverly (Manager of Wilder Public Relations), and Caymon Zhora (Manager of Bliss Couture). All the women who entered are winners to us and we wish each of you left in the running good luck! The 20 beautiful finalists are as followed:

THE “DIVAS ONE OF A KIND AUCTION” TO BENEFIT RFL

On June 20th some of the best designers in Second Life walked the runway themselves to auction one-of-a kind designs to benefit the American Cancer Society’s RELAY FOR LIFE.  Sponsored by the Best of SL, this amazing event raised over L$1,000,000 for RFL.

Held at the stunning Patch Thibaud Auditorium, a crowd of 160 attendees…no, that’s not a misprint…enjoyed the stunning designs and the lively auction. Best of Second Life (BOSL) CEO Frolic Mills kicked off the event by teasing the designers about their ability (or the lack thereof) to walk a runway. It was all in good fun, and the designers and models enjoyed the event as much as the audience. DJ Kromus Korobase donated his services and added to the entertainment as the audio announcer, while Auctioneers CheerCoach4EjS Gymnast, Jens Marksman,  and Wenadrenia Soderstrom, who also devoted many hours helping organize and support the effort, kept the bidding flowing.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. SL has taken up the cause in any number of ways, and this auction provided a great chance for attendees and designers to contribute to this worthwhile cause. Between the auction proceeds and additional donations from individuals at the event, the Divas One of a Kind Auction raised an unprecedented total of over L$1,000,000 (equivalent of over $4,000 USD).

Chairman of the Board of SL Relay For Life, Fayandria Foley told Frolic Mills, “It was perfect. A splash of society with fun and class!”
