Last Night: BOSL Country Club Opening Feted with Black-Tie Southern Gothic Event

A moment of celebration at the opening of BOSL Country Club last night. Designed by Patch Thibaud on the full rather connected with the dance club The Warehouse, also designed by Thibaud, the place is just wonderful and perfect for huge and fancy events. For those who wish to schedule a party in this amazing place, just contact Umberto Giano inworld. Let’s talk about the party itself! Good music promoted by pianist Bones Writer, the soulful vocals of Blue4u gReefers Nowicka and the live streaming and playing some of the great Southern rock hits. Everyone was there having fun and enjoying the moment. The Southern Gothic theme will set the Stage by reflecting the unique culture and mores of the American South famously exploited in the works of novelists such as Truman Capote, William Faulkner and Flannery O’Connor, as explained in a notecard sent to everyone before the party started, which is transcribed below, including special pictures! :)

Southern Gothic is known for its damaged and delusional characters. Instead of perpetuating romanticized stereotypes of the Antebellum South, Southern Gothic literature brings the stock characters of melodrama and Gothic novels to a Southern context in order to make a point.

Tennessee William’s A Streetcar Named Desire reinvents the Southern belle as a pretentious, mentally unstable woman, and his Cat on a Hot Tin Roof portrays the favorite son of a Southern dynasty as a repressed homosexual whose alcoholism threatens his marriage.

“Just as in Southern Gothic literature, our special event plays to the plight of those who are ostracized or oppressed by traditional Southern culture,” said BOSL & CO executive Umberto Giano. “We encourage everyone attending this event to step into character and have fun with it … consider this a modern twist on the formal Southern Cotillion”

“Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” occured on both the BOSL Country Club and Club Road sims. All music was streamed into the BOSL Country Club sim and The Warehouse dance club’s Club Road sim.

It was an unforgettable night!

Bye, sexies! ;)

MEB store: new release

I was hanging out in the second life’s world when I got news from MEB, an amazing italian store. There was a picture of a beautiful and stunning red dress. I was intrigued and decided to check others news there too.
I took the opportunity to talk a little more with the creator of so many beautiful clothes. MariaElena Barbosa is the artist behind the creations of MEB. She told me some of her special ideas and inspirations and would like to share with all of you.

First of all, what brought me to there it was the Red Carpet Dress that you can see right here:

MariaElena told me about her inspiration for the new collection that is being released soon. It is a continuation of the style MEB. All clothes always have a perfect fit and colors were the main inspiration this time. Shades of gray dominate almost the entire winter collection. I personally know the creation lab of MEB, where MariaElena spends much time of hard work. MEB will also release a new collection of boots, always different and special. We can only wait until the end of this month and enjoy.  :)

Here it goes some pictures of the laboratory creation of MEB and my meeting with MariaElena:

The Hottest Jewelry Designers Show

THEsHOTTESTsJEWELRYsDESIGNERS

An amazing fashion show happened this last Saturday: The Hottest Jewelry Designers presented by Agata Model Agency (Japan) owned by Sora Tatham, also Miss Virtual World 2010 Finalist. The audience was able to witness what’s going on in the world of the hottest jewelry designers in Second Life.

The catwalk itself deserves special mention. The models were placed on stands in a pivotal runway. The curtains opened and closed, revealing the collections and the models according to the order of each brand. Super interesting and original idea. The DJ and hostess were in cool bubbles behind the catwalk.

Rozeregalia Jewlery & Furniture collection began presenting the show. The soundtrack included Madonna and original songs like “Don’t Get Me Wrong” (90’s hit).

The brand U & R Dogs showed a delightful collection, with the use of sailboats, small musical instruments, which gave charm to the show. The soundtrack included Rihanna’s best-known songs.

The fashion show ended with the presentation of the entire collection and Agata models.

Important guests there included Frolic Mills himself. I had a great time at this show. Next time, you just can’t miss a remarkable show like this! I’ll probably be around.
