Costa Rica Sims together with BOSL, KMADD & Gardens of Absentia sponsored the BCA Music Festival For A Cure with a list of performances by Ronus LeFevre, Ian Bleac, StrumDiesel, Rock Doghousein, just to name a few in an event that lasted eight hours right here in the beautiful Ladies Society Botanical Gardens on Alajuela sim.

Decked out in pink leis everyone was gathered for the cause and I have it on good authority that over 82,000L was raised! All were in great spirits and gardens were packed with people and couples dancing and enjoying the music. It was wonderful to see so much unity gathered together with the same goal. With the one of a kind speedboat by Ellison Designs was up for auction. A “Miami Vice” style Scarab 38 KV custom speed boat and the winner will be announced soon. I’ll keep you posted.

At one point, Ronus Lefevre led everyone with a rousing rendition of “Purple Rain”, complete with actual purple rain particles and lightening. Thought that was quite clever myself

The Breast Cancer Awareness has a lot planned right into September including a Date Auction. The pre-bidding boards open Saturday, July 31st here at Costa Rica Sims in the Botanical Gardens with final bidding on Saturday, August 21.

The Ladies Society Friendship Ball had an extra element of celebration this month with it being the day before the 4th of July. I managed to get some beautiful captures of the couples including Miss Costa Rica Sims Nisa Constantine with her beau Iwan Sweetwater. Costa Rica resident redhairgenie Cabassoun once again drew my camera to her ultra glam gown, an amazingly beautiful dress. Miss Ceci Dover was in rare form and was a joy to watch as her energy lit up the gardens with her own special brand of vocals and captivating songs. If you have yet to join us for the Friendship Ball, please do come in the future. Its a great event to meet fellow ladies in the estate and share all those hot fashion tips.

Independence Day is no longer just for America! Not if you live in Costa Rica sims anyway! All residents gathered at Trudy Takacs and Evad Slade’s place for BBQ, live music and just good ole fashioned American fun! DJ David Marquis was on the mic providing the tune-age and keeping everyone in the patriotic mood.

Along with contests for ‘The Tallest Hair’ and ‘Least American Looking Outfit’, much dancing and merriment was to be had by all. Loads of familiar faces turned up; Mina Pelazzi, our wonderful Estate Manager Dolci Woodget along with Clay Ellison, Events Manager Samantha Ohrberg, and social regulars rehairgenie Cabassoun, Willy Oakleaf, Kizmet Kidd and so many more. It may have been a virtual world party but I tell you I was sweating. The décor was outstanding and I definitely felt the heat!

Our Community Ball for July at WK Ganesvoort’s outstanding estate home was again the perfect night out for residents to take their loved one for an hour or two of beautiful singing from the vocally talented Miss Ceci Dover and dancing among the gardens. Everyone was glamorously attired with love in the air. I’m sure there were a few hookups, but I’m not telling.

And resident’s the July Rezzday party is tomorrow, Saturday July 31st at 4pm slt. The theme this month is Mermaids and Tritons!!! Events Manager Samantha Ohrberg has provided a landmark for some great outfits. Click here and get yourself finned. Ok that was bad even for me. xD
